I remember going to the theater with a friend to see David Fincher's "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" back in 2011. David Fincher became one of my favorite directors after I saw his gritty detective film "Seven". So I knew this film would be kick-ass, especially since I heard good things from friends about it. As soon as the title sequence started up, I was floored. That sequence was so dark in tone and visually striking that I was immediately following every second. The choice of staying mostly greyscale really added to the vibe of unease. Watching the sequence play out, I knew the film was going to be amazing, which it was. This title sequence is definitely one of my top 10 favorite sequences for sure.
