Rob Orlando Interviewing Bob Tyrrell

I was recently connected with Robert Orlando, a filmmaker with several documentaries under his belt. It was my friend Ryan from Bravo who forwarded me his contact because he was in search of an editor for his new film project "Surviving the Kultursmog". I am the kind of person who doesn't like to turn down a good opportunity, no matter how busy I may be. I would always say to myself that I can make it work, and in the past, that was often true. I can hire some help, I can add some hours at night, and I always have the weekends. This one is one of those opportunities. I am currently on a year-long contract with NBC and have a long commute to their offices but I figure I enjoy creating so much that this wouldn't bother me. Also, I haven't edited big documentaries before, and this one is a big boy. Robert, the talented director with countless stories about his past experiences in the field with major celebrities and notable figures, has a project about the famous conservative magazine, "The American Spectator". For the start of this project, I brought in my friend Ian Fox ( https://www.the-red-fox.com/ ) to help with the workload, and to meet Robert and me at Bravo Studios (Ryan from Bravo kindly let us use their space for the meeting).

The story revolves around the founder of The American Spectator and how he came to transform his magazine into a prominent journal in the conservative movement. We spoke about the feel and vibe of how he wanted the story to be told and shared some history about the United States and the fight between the left and right. After we copied over the 6tb of footage, Ian and I came up with a game plan to knock out the trailer teaser before we went on our way to edit.
